Rope & Pulley, also known as different names such as verandah straight drop or butcher blinds, are the most traditional and affordable awnings that still fulfil basic requirements for external coverings. Rope & Pulleys Blinds are also an excellent solution for sloping windows external shades.
How Rope & Pulley Blinds Operate
As mentioned in the name, these blinds are operated by a rope system that goes through pulleys fixed onto the top timber board of the blind. To retract the blind, simply pull the rope to make the bottom tube rolls up along with the material.
When the blinds are fully extended, several methods of clipping are provided to suit your specific needs:
- Leather straps, strap adaptors, and breaching stables for wall clipping.
- Alternatively chains, chain adaptors and screw eyes for window base clipping.
- Chains, chain adaptors, double-dog-clips and footpath rings for ground and footpath clipping.

- Maximum width 6000mm, maximum drop 2700mm.
- Pelmets and bottom rails are roll-formed colour-bond steel, all components are galvanized steel. Optional stainless steel and gold components.
